google-play-birthday.jpg

Google's mind boggling Play Store has turned 1 year old this year but looks like will give more new technologies and features. The big fat search engine is celebrating this occasion by offering goodies to its Android users in the form of various discounts, gift cards and exclusive in-game content.
The Google Play Team send across this message, "It was just a year ago today that we launched this amazing shop on the interwebs to offer the best in digital content. Since the best parties are the ones that send you home with a present, today we celebrate our birthday with a festive goodie bag full of gifts. Don't delay in picking up these limited-time offers. It's been an incredible first year and we look forward to sharing the gift of digital diversions for many more to come."

One can get some good deals here which are extending from free books, music, and discounted movies & TV rentals with good deals in games and the play store also.
Deals seem to differ depending on the country and region. Among the offers are a 10 percent discount with Hotels.com, a $15 gift card from the Google+ Sign-In partner Fancy, 99-cent movie rentals, free song tracks from The Velvet Underground and LCD Soundsystem and more.

here are some games which have all new free levels to play -  Gnome Village, Royal Revolt and Yumby Smash but these offers are limited.

There are a total of 5 deals seen on this
page. But Google will be kicking off an entire week of deals on different content, so make sure to grab more deals that have been planed to offer in the coming days.

Google rechristened the Android Market to Google Play on this very day last year and more recently it introduced
Books in the Indian Play Store.
