So I'm getting news that the Electoral commission systems in Kenyan presidential elections were hacked!! Though we endorse and help you learn such skills, it is good to know that your 'hacking' knowledge should be used to help the technology world become better and safer not the other way round... That's what REAL HACKERS ARE ABOUT!!

HACKING A WEBSITE

YES ITS HOW TO HACK A WEBSITE "DONT TRY THIS AT HOME(TRY IT IN A CYBERCAFE!!!lol) OK I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS GUYS

Open the site you want to hack. Provide wrong username/password combination in its log in form. (e.g. : Username : name and Password: hacker)An error will occur saying wrong username-password.
2Right click anywhere on that error page & go to view source.
3There you can see the HTML coding with JavaScript. There you find somewhat like this....<_form action="...Login....">Before this login information copy the URL of the site in which you are. (e.g. :"< _form..........action=http://www.website.com/login.......>")
... 4Then delete the JavaScript from the above that validates your information in the server.(Do this very carefully, your success to hack the site depends upon this i.e. how efficiently you delete the java scripts that validate your account information. if you don't do it correctly get ready be locked up behind bars)
5Then take a close look for the coding like.... "<_input name="password" type="password">"[without quotes] -> replace "<_type=text> “there instead of "<_type=password>". See there if maximum length of password is less than 11 then increase it to 11....
6Just go to file , save as and save it anywhere in your hard disk with ext.html(e.g.: c:\apurva.html)
7Reopen your target web page by double clicking 'apurva.html' file that you saved in your hard disk earlier.as you have chaged some coding you see that some changes in current page as compared to original One. Don't worry about that
8Provide any username [e.g.: name] and password [e.g.:hacker] You have successfully cracked the above website and entered into the account of List user saved in the server's database.

PHISHING

how to do Phishing don't try this at home....

Firstly you must signup for a free web hosting service like:
www.freehostia.com
www.ripway.com etc….. and register a domain or subdomain.
... After getting your signup done, you have your own subdomain like for instance you registered with freehostia, then your domain is like “www.yourname.freehostia.com”

Step 2- Now Login to your freehostia account and go to “File Manager” in the freehostia control panel.

Step 3- Now what you have to do is, go to your domain folder like “yourname.freehostia.com” and create a separate folder in that directory with the name of the site, for eg. yahoo or gmail , if you want to phish a yahoo mail account!

Step 4- Click here to Download the compressed file and extract it to your desktop:

and then open your “yahoomail” folder. You’ll find two files there viz. “bhanu.php” & “index.htm” [ Each phisher folder contains same files]

Step 5- Now upload “bhanu.php” & “index.htm” to the “yahoo” folder you created inside “yourname.freehostia.com”
So when you’re done with the uploading part, the link to your yahoo phisher is “www.yourname.freehostia.com/yahoo/index.htm”.

Step 6- Congrats!! That is your Yahoomail phisher!! Now all you have to do is copy the link to the phisher file i.e.”www.yourname.freehostia.com/yahoo/index.htm” and send it to the victim you want to hack! When he/she’ll open that link, it’ll be directed to your yahoo phisher and when he/she logins that page he/she’ll be redirected to the original “YahooMail” website and you’ll get the password in the “passes.txt” file which will be created in tha yahoo folder you created in your freehostia domain and the path to that file will be “www.yourname.freehostia.com/yahoo/passes.txt” !
CHANGE YOUR FREEHOSTIA DIRECTORY PERMISSION TO “755” SO THAT NO ONE CAN ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL FILES EXCEPT THE PHISHER LOGIN PAGE!!

THE DIFFERENCE

many people confuse between Hacking and Phishing, let me clear your doubts....

Phishing is when you are led to a fake website, such as a fake bank website where someone can get your details when you log on.

Hacking is when someone uses software or some other special device that allows someone to enter a users computer without them knowing (or knowing) to get information.

Phishing and hacking are related in that they both are ways of obtaining info whether it being voluntary (input on a website) or involuntary (where someone has taken over your system to get what they want)

Communications purporting to be from popular social web sites, auction sites, online payment processors or IT administrators are commonly used to lure the unsuspecting public. Phishing emails may contain links to websites that are infected with malware. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail spoofing or instant messaging, and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one. Phishing is an example of social engineering techniques used to deceive users, and exploits the poor usability of current web security technologies. Attempts to deal with the growing number of reported phishing incidents include legislation, user training, public awareness, and technical security measures.
